Ipsy March 2015

Ok so gonna do this months bag kinda quick since it was mostly products. The bag this month was super cute but I will most likely only be using one item from it. Also this month I used some of my points and got a free brush cause I can never have enough shadow brushes!!
First thing is Dr. brandt pores no more anti-aging mattifying lotion
Then I got Pur-lisse Pur delicate gentle soy milk cleanser
So I was excited when I got this Boo Boo cover up. It has awesome coverage but it is a little dark for my fair complexion.
No idea what I did with the pic but I also got the Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind highlighter. It's a soft pink packed with loads of shimmer. It is stunning but being fair it just kinda blends with my skin tone.
Finally I got NYX Butter lipstick in the color Hunk. I have a love/hate relationship with NYX lippies. I adore the colors and finishes they have BUT they dont last well for me. So I layered Hunk over the NYX lip primer and NYX black lipliner.
So ok bag this month. I will be using the Lippie and highlight for sure. The Boo Boo cream I am going to try and mix so it will work for me.

Feburary Ipsy Bag...

Ok so not so far behind on this one but I havent used the eyeliner quite yet. Just wanted to go ahead and post since the month is almost over ;) No idea why this pic doesnt want to upload correct but whatever LOL. Of course the theme ths month is love.
So first is the pencil I havent gotten to use yet LOL....
It is Pencil Me In liner in Amethyst. If I get the chance to try it I will include it in my post for March. Actually I got some of the new MAC Cinderella line coming and I think this color may go well with it ;) I do like it has a built in sharpener.
Next product is something I dont tend to use but is something I know a lot of beauty fans like....
I got 2 sets of Glam Glow Bright Mud Eye treatment. So this is what this looks like on....
So yea...these little packs last awhile. I have used the treatment twice and I have only opened one blister on one of the packs. I don't see much of a difference but my skin feels tighter and refreshed so I am sure with continued use this would be a helpful product.
Next is the Model Co blush in Peach Bellini 02
So I am not 100% sure I love it as a blush but I am for sure using it as a shadow in the future! The color is stunning and it is well pigmented which I find strange in blush....
Finally another flop for me was the City Cosmetics lippie. It is super pink and I just hate the way it looks on me...

Yep...The color washed me out Even wearing blush!!
Over all I was really disappointed this month. Even more so when I looked and saw a brand I do love...Medusa's Makeup was involved in this months bag. I have taken my glam quiz a few times and try to answer to get edgier colors and such and yet this was not something in my bag...Makes no sense to me :( Anyway we shall see how next month goes and I may end up taking a few months off til Octoberish.

January Ipsy Bag...

Ok so I am behind 2 bag so I am just gonna post these pretty quick. Some of you may know I just got promoted in January and my life has been nothing but busy since. My schedules changes day to day so pretty much I have time to work, eat, Sleep most days. not complaining at all but it does mean there are days at a time I don't even look at my computer screen. I do have a bunch of great makeup posts coming when I get the time to write them all up though ;)
But for now....here is my January ipsy bag ;P
The bag its self was ok...Blue on one side, White on the other. Not one that will go in my collection but if you know me I love to use these bags for putting gifts in ;P
This month's theme was fresh start. I was a bit nervous cause most years and with most boxes that means a lot of face products. But to my surprise I liked most of the items.
First up this is the kind of item I was expecting to get this month. It is a clear Mojito lip balm from Malin + Goetz. It had a nice minty feel on my lips but it was just and eh kinda product.
Next up is the polish of the month....Not a big fan of getting polish anymore since I can't wear it at work...I have updated my profile and still I get them most months but I digress....
So this is a full size polish from Probelle. The shade is Into The Blue. I really cant describe the color that well. I guess it is kinda a darker sky blue. The polish is very sheer but covered well and went on smooth. In the pic I used 2 coats.
Probably the item I was most excited about...
Sorry but I can never have enough shadow brushes! This one is awesome for Blending. It is the Elizabeth Mott all over shadow brush. The brush is super soft!!
Finally I got 2 different shadows:
The first one is Bella Pierre Shimmer Shadow in Whesek...
Here is my look...

I also used Urban Decay Shadow in Cherry, Starlooks pencil in Obsidian, & Mac Zoom Flash mascara.
The 2nd shadow is Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in the shade Treasure. I actually liked this better of the 2. Sorry these looks are similar...I actually wore them quite a few days apart and didnt realize it til I started writing this LMAO.

For this looks I also used Bombshell shadow base in Submission, the Urban Decay skull shadow palette in colors Twice Baked & Blunt, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Demolition, & Mac Zoom Flash Mascara.

February bag will be coming up shortly :P

December Ipsy bag...

Alright ladies it's that time again...gonna show ya the awesome products from this month's Ipsy bag. I been considering doing an unsub for a little while but I saw one of the sneak peeks this months and just had to have it :P
So the bag this month is a little lack luster. It is a simple black bag with a pink zipper and a pink heart tag.
There was a travel size Bumble & Bumble BB Repair blow dry cream...
A Nourish Organics avocado and argon renewing eye cream...

I havent tried these first 2 products but I did use the others...

First was a mineral eyeshadow from Cailyn cosmetics in Orchid, A Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, & a NYX cosmetics Butter Lip Balm. I was excited for the mascara and it did not disappoint! The shadow had a nice shimmer to it and didnt have much fallout. And the lippie was just a hint of color!

I liked the look overall it was nice and natural. I will be getting next months bag but after that we will see. I feel the brands overall just are not worth it anymore...
Here is the bag overall this month...

November Ipsy Bag...

Ok so I am a couple months behind on stuff like this due to the holidays so I am gonna make these brief. Here is a peek and swatches from my November Ipsy bag....
Seriously in love with this supper glittery bag! I know it doesnt seem like me but yea...
Marc Anthony Oil Of Morocco argan oil hairspary. I was hesitant but this works quite well and holds all day!
Wet N Wild Megasticks Balm Stain chubby Lip pencil in Lady And The Vamp. I was disappointed to see this. While I do LOVE the color I did not subscribe to ipsy to get low end brands like this. Sorry but if I wanted to "try" a WnW product i would just go pick up the full size myself!
Elizabeth Mott You're So Fine glitter eyeliner. I kinda love this liner. Now while the awesome glitter in the formula doesnt come off the brush well it is just a good basic black liner!
Tarte Maracuja oil for face. Now while I am sure this is a great product as I love Tarte I just dont really use face oils.
Bombshell Cream Eye Base in Submission. This product was just kinda eh. I really wouldnt us eit as a base I much. It is a pretty color for a quick eye when I am in a rush.
So obviously l to right is Elizabeth Mott Liner, Bombshell base, & The Lip stain.
This is what the eye base looks like by its self...
For my finished eye look I used my Urban Decay Skull palette. I used Twice Baked in the crease, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again on my lid, Chopper above the crease and to blend, Blunt above that and a touch of Cherry at my brow and inside corners. The liner is the Elizabeth Mott and I finished with MAC Zoom Lash mascara.

And the lippie...I do love it I just felt like the brand is a little low end for a service like this.
